Master’s Degree Programs in Oklahoma
Oklahoma has an excellent health care system, thanks in large part to its prestigious medical schools and major universities, such as University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. Both major institutions have health care centers that are equipped to teach prospective medical workers and provide jobs for current health care workers. They are teaching facilities, as well as clinical settings, where people all over the state can come to be treated. In addition to the state’s universities, Oklahoma has some other large employers, such as Continuous Care Center, Deaconess Hospital and the Bone and Joint Hospital, which is ranked as one of the best orthopedic hospitals in the nation. According to the 2008 Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 86,470 health care practitioners and technicians working in Oklahoma, who made an annual mean wage of $56,680.
